Description

Description
The Model LW8A-40.5(w)/T2000-31.5 outdoor SF6 circuit breaker is an electrical device designed for 50 Hz, three-phase AC power systems. It is suitable for use in power systems with a rated voltage of 40.5 kV for control and protection purposes; it can be equipped with either internal or external current transformers to facilitate measurement and protection functions.

Characteristic of structure
The LW8-40.5 type SF6 circuit breaker features an outdoor, porcelain-pillar-supported structure. It is equipped with a CT35 spring operating mechanism, arranged in an "L" configuration relative to the main body. The complete unit is characterized by its compact size, light weight, simple structure, low operating energy requirements, and ease of installation and commissioning. It boasts a mechanical life of 10,000 operations, making it suitable for frequent switching applications.
The unit employs a puffer-type arc-extinguishing chamber, delivering excellent interrupting performance. Its electrical life reaches 20 operations. The sealing performance is highly reliable; static seals utilize an "O-ring" structure, while dynamic seals employ a "V-ring" structure with spring-assisted pressure compensation. The secondary terminal board for the current transformers is manufactured using a pressure-injection molding process, offering strong resistance to aging and ensuring an annual gas leakage rate of no more than 0.5%.
The mounting base frame and support structure are fabricated from integrally rolled steel plates; utilizing high-strength standard fasteners, the unit achieves a high level of mechanical reliability.
